We have stayed here twice and each time has been great. The staff are very, very nice and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And it is a great location with a nice neighborhood. Thanks for everything–we recommend it highly!
My husband, two teenagers and I had a lovely three-night stay at the HGL. Even though we arrived from our red-eye flight much earlier than official check-in time, the staff readied our rooms so we could get into them right away. The rooms were, as already described in other comments, very small, but smartly decorated. The bathrooms were also tiny but everything in them was brand new and functioned perfectly. The staff was willing to answer our many questions every day with a smile. The Rue Cler area is definitely a fun part of Paris to visit and is central to everything. Finally, the booking process was smooth and the rates were very reasonable (by Paris standards). We hope to return someday.
This was my third stay at this hotel. I love the location and the hotel. This time I was with my 13 year old grandson, who enjoyed the experience. I hope to come again.
We were only in Paris for 2 nights. We had contacted a LOT of places inquiring about rooms but had a difficult time getting responses. Not so with Grand Hotel Levesque. They were very fast to respond to all my inquiries and were so warm and welcoming when we arrived. It was a great location and the rooms were clean… and cute! They are pretty tiny compared to rooms in Canada but we enjoyed the difference. We would absolutely refer our friends to stay here and will stay here again when we return for a much longer visit. The people of Paris (& the hotel in particular) were extremely kind and helpful. Thanks again!
I stayed for a week with my two nieces, aged 10 and 8. It blew their little minds, when they saw the Eiffel Tower from the balcony.
We loved the location — rue Cler is beautiful and fun, and being able to walk to the Champs de Mars for the Bastille Day fireworks was priceless. It was helpful to have the Metro and buses close by, as well as many shops, services and restaurants.
The room was cozy and clean. Air conditioning was nice to have on 94 degrees F days! And the staff was very nice — including emails before we arrived.
Thank you! Hope to return soon.
We just returned from Paris yesterday and our stay at Grand Hotel Leveque was wonderful. The location cannot be beat! It is about 2 blocks from the Ecole Militaire Metro station on Avenue de la Motte-Picquet, and an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower. Although the room was small by American standards, it had air conditioning, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice and updated. The elevator is tiny, just big enough for 2 people, but serves the purpose. All in all, we would definitely stay there again! We highly recommend it!
My sister and I enjoyed staying at the Grand Leveque so much, with spotless rooms and great petit dejeuner. Christophe and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, with bus #69 connecting us to central locations. Very impressed with Paris Metro. Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. We hope to stay here again.
LOVED our stay at the Grand Leveque! The staff was friendly and the location cannot be beat. The room was nicely decorated and clean!
I have stayed at your hotel many times, I love the location, the friendly service and cleanliness. I hope to see you again soon!
Have stayed twice at the Grand Hotel Leveque while in Paris and never am disappointed. Fantastic location, great staff, comfortable rooms (kudo’s on the upgrades) – will stay here again.
My visit in March was my sixth stay at GHL–it has become my “home” in Paris! Francoise, Christophe & the staff are very helpful, the rooms are clean & comfortable and the location is perfect. Hope to be back again next year!
I stayed at the Grand Leveque for 14 nights in mid-May and did not want to leave. Christopher and Fransoise made my stay perfect. I travel alone and they treated me like I was a guest in their home. They are the best.
I took city buses everywhere. The 69 bus picks up just up the street at rue de Grenelle and you can catch other buses either at Champs de Mars or at the corner down at Bosquiet. It pays to get the 10-pack of bus tickets and buy a bus route book. Thank you to everyone at the Grand Leveque for helping me have a wonderful 2014 vacation. I am also a Rick Steves groupie.
My wife and I just spent our belated honeymoon in Paris & stayed at Grand Leveque for 6 days. What a great time we had! The staff members, especially Francoise, were tremendous with tips on places to eat & see, plus very helpful in assuring that our planned tours and transportation came off without a hitch. The accommodations were quaint and comfortable. If we visit Paris again, we will certainly stay at the Grand Hotel Leveque.
Posizione ideale. Locato vicino Rer, Metro e Tour Eiffel. Personale accogliente, molto disponibile. Colazione discreta. Hotel consigliabile per un bel viaggio.
We have only positive things to say about the Hotel. Yes, the elevator and rooms are small, but do not spoil anything. Staff is very helpful. And Rue Cler is an attraction itself, you’ll really feel as if you were living in Paris! We definitely make plans of returning and staying at Leveque, our home in this lovely town.
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Leveque. The staff is friendly, helpful, and speaks English well. Rue Cler is a fantastic location, with many cafes, shops, and places to get a pastry and coffee in the morning. The rooms are small by American standards, but you shouldn’t be spending much time in your room anyway! If you need help, just ask the staff and they will get you a taxi, directions, or anything else you desire. If I ever return to Paris, I will be staying here again!
Found the GHL 21years ago and decided to stay there again. Petite, traditional hotel. It’s a great location, on a fantastic Paris street. Close to Tour Eiffel and Metro, classic Paris neighborhoods, restaurants, market, pharmacy, etc. Staff was excellent. Rooms are a little small, but you’re not there that much anyway. Might be time to replace the towels, getting a little thin, but a small detail. If you don’t want the breakfast, walk a couple of steps to an excellent brasserie. I’d request a room higher than the 2nd floor do to a little street noise. Good value.
They treated us like family. Yes the elevator was small lol the elevator could only hold 2 people. We stayed in several countries and our stay here was the highlight of our trip. Bathroom was very nice and modern. It was on a brick street that had a farmers market every morning. The fruit was sooo good and looked fake. it is 2 blks from subway and was able to take it to everywhere we wanted to go. We loved it. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else!
Idéalement situé, chambres petites mais propres et fonctionnelles. Un peu de bruit le matin
merci c’etait trés bien avec un personnel acceuillant chaleureux aimable
merci et meilleurs voeux pour cette nouvelle annéé !!
All was great, guys from front desk, breakfast (just a little unusual without meat products)… I recommend to all my friends this place. 7 min to walk to the Tour Eiffel, 15 min to Champs Elysees, what else can you demand!!!
Great location, Rue Cler neighborhood is wonderful experience to be a local Parisian, and great staff.
Axel is one of the best front desk staff; he was helpful in showing us how to use the Metro, train ride to Marseille, bus routes…
It was the best experience we had in Paris and we have already recommended friends to Grand Leveque.
Fantastic location and great staff ! Cafes, the Eiffel Tower, Metro, shopping- all within an easy walk. Could not have been better.
31-10-2013 Very happy with my stay at Leveque. The staff was very friendly and helpful with arrangements. I wanted to take a tour I had found on a website and the front desk helped me find the tour on line and called them to set up the tour for me. Also got transfer back to airport through shuttle service offered on site.
Great location. I would stay again and recommend you to others. Rick Steves tour guide book was accurate in its recommendation of your hotel.
VERY NICE HOTEL IN THE HARD OF PARIS. I WILL VISIT PARIS AGAIN THERE
A friend and I stayed at the Grand Leveque for a week. It was a great experience! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Some staff members spoke English better than others but they all indulged when I attempted to practice my French–which was much appreciated! Rue Cler is a great street–close to the metro and filled with restaurants with great drink specials that are busy with patrons during the nighttime hours. I would definitely stay here again!
Absolutely loved it! The hotel, the staff, the neighborhood, the restaurants, little shops, everything! I went by myself and felt completely safe! I will get a smaller room or take a friend next time. I’ve been raving about the trip and everyone wants to join me next time. Thank you!!!
Fantastic location. We have stayed at Leveque 5 times over the past 8 years. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will definately stay there again on our next visit to Paris. The staff went out of their way to help confirm some of our reservations and arrange for taxis when we need them. Rooms have been updated and are VERY clean. Thanks for again being one of the nicest hotels in Paris. We look forward to staying again in the future.
If there were any better places my wife and I could have stayed on our honeymoon and really “captured” Paris (especially the Rue Cler, famour for good food), I can’t imagine what it might be. The Grand Hotel Leveque was *wonderful* and I can’t say enough about their staff. The prices are very good too I think. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, too… LOVED the place!!
What a joy to come home to a clean, fresh, quiet room at the end of the day. Having a hotel without traffic in front of it was great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. All of my needs were met.
If I return to Paris again it is nice to know where I can stay comfortably and affordably.
I just returned yesterday from another 4 day stay at Hotel Leveque in Paris. This is my favorite Paris hotel, whether I am traveling solo, with my boyfriend, or with a friend. I’ve stayed here many times. The value is tremendous., and the location is superb. I do believe they have upgraded some areas this past year, and it appears “fresher.” The front desk staff is always accommodating, and at this point I am becoming familiar with a few of their staff which makes it feel more comfortable.
We stayed only one night at the Grand Leveque hotel, but we loved so much. From booking our room with all the e-mails I sent, the suttle they provides us,the nice desk clerk they have-everything was so wonderful. The location of the hotel was the best, close to everything-Eiffel tower,Champs-elysee,the small streets with the cafes.Thank you for making our stay in Paris so wonderful.
Hope to stay there again
We had a great time at the Grand Hotel Leveque. It is located close to the Eiffel Tower which we could view from our nicely appointed room. The metro is close by and the staff go out of their way to accommodate your every need. There are numerous Cafes right outside the hotel on Rue Cler. Our next visit to Paris will include a stay at the Leveque!
We just returned from a 3 day stay and had a great time. We were on the street side, but must have been high enough (4th floor) that the sound never bothered us! Great location, great staff, very accommodating. We enjoyed being within easy walking distance of so many wonderful Paris sites. We booked based on Rick Steves recommendation, and were not disappointed. The weekend front desk clerk was especially helpful in arranging taxis, etc. Thanks!
We really enjoyed staying at your hotel. All the front desk personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome. Your location on the Rue Cler is fantastic. We loved having le petit dejeuner at the many surrounding cafes. The proximity to the Tour Eiffel, the Seine River and the Metro is so convenient. We hope next year to visit Paris and stay at your hotel again. We would not hesitate to recommend your charming hotel to our friends. Merci beaucoup pour une visite spectaculaire!!!!!!
Michael and Sherri (Vancouver, Canada)
Just returned from a pleasant stay in Paris. The Grand Hotel Leveque is located close to the main attractions in a nice neighborhood. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful; the room was small but clean and comfortable. Room was on the back side so was quiet. I would gladly stay here again.
Great location, walking distance to many attractions. Unfortunately our room was on the noisy side. We can hear street vendors starting the work day at 3:30 am, and restaurant patrons during the night. If can handle noise convenient place to stay or request a quiet room.
We visited Paris in mid May and had a wonderful time which included the stay at the Grand Hotel Leveque Paris. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet (on the non-street side) and staff were very kind and helpful. Hotel is in the heart of the city and very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Paris.
really enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Leveque. Very friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to Eiffel Tower and great restaurants and shops. Very clean nice rooms.
This was our 3rd or 4th time to stay at the Grand Hotel Leveque and we once again enjoyed our stay! The hotel has been renovated since our last visit and it looks very nice. We love the location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the strong WiFi and the great A/C. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we visit Paris!
My sister and I had a wonderful time in Paris. Grand Hotel Leveque was a great location on rue Cler. Staff was wonderful, very helpful, polite and always had a smile. Loved the wi elevator. Only negative was the beds were in need of replacement. Besides the beds I would stay at Grand Leveque again and recommend it family and friends.
The hotel has the quintessential Parisian feel. We loved the neighbourhood and the ease to walk and explore. And yes the front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Comparing to North American hotel standard the room and facilities are not as comfortable but we knew what to expect from previous travels to Europe. We were charmed by the quaintness and some of the less convenient aspects, such as the tiny elevator.
I had a great 4 night stay here… The staff was very helpful and friendly and gave us tips about how to get to various different locations. They were extremely flexible and allowed us to store our luggage before and after our check in/out times. Overall have no complaints and our room was very roomy, comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all of my family and friends and would stay again in the future!
Had a great 7 night stay. The desk clerks were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was sparse, but since we weren’t in it much, that was OK. The location was fabulous with plenty to eat close by. Great windows shut out the street noise at night. No complaints.
We stayed three weeks at the Grand Hotel Leveque and it was wonderful. The location was perfect, but even better were the people who worked there. They were helpful as to places we wanted to visit, recommended wonderful small restaurants, discouraged us when we wanted to go someplace that they felt was dangerous. I had a special need as to the use of a microwave and there was no problem getting that need met. No matter at what time we came back, our room was already cleaned. We were on the third floor on the street side and it was quite magical to look out the window at night and see the lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkling. When we go back to Paris, this will be the first place we’ll check for reservations.
We stayed 3 nights in June 2013. Loved it – staff friendly & helpful. We were pleased to have the cosy lift to get our luggage up to level 5. Our only difficulty was entering the shower thru a single door which touched the toilet seat before just allowing enough room to slide past.
stayed just this past end of May for 2 nights.Took the hotel shuttle from CGD. Loved the hotel and Rue Cler. Small, but so friendly. Highly recommend.
brought my wife to paris for her birthday and retirement and stayed here for a week in early april 2013. very quaint, very paris. would stay here again in a heart beat. rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. staff very friendly and courteous. language not a problem close to many sites and within walking distance of many fine restaurants.
Wonderful hotel! Great location. A special thanks to Christophe.
Hope to return soon.
I stayed at the Grand Hotel Leveque for a night with a friend on a short trip to Paris. As two teenage girls we were a bit apprehensive when booking, but when we found this hotel on trip advisor the good comments and great location convinced us to book!
The hotel was absolutely great! We felt incredibly safe on the street and during the night thanks to the 24 hour reception and friendly staff. The location was incredible with a very short walk to the Metro, shops and cafes.
I cannot wait to come back to Paris and definitely stay at this hotel again.
This hotel will definitely be a recommendation to friends and family!
This was my second stay at the Grand Hotel Levesque, having stayed there in 2007 during a conference at the American University. I originally chose this hotel due to its location to the conference facilities, but I also appreciated the fact that Rick Steves had given it a high rating. The staff is very friendly and highly fluent in English, and the location is unbeatable. One is within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides, and other attractions (such as the Louvre) are not all that far away.
The hotel is easy to reach via the Metro, and as many guests have already commented, Rue Cler is a charming and very busy cobblestone street (primarily for pedestrian traffic), lined with cafes and fresh-produce vendors. The rooms may seem small by North American standards, but they are cozy and well kept-up, and the price of accommodation is quite reasonable for such a central location in Paris. I have recommended this hotel to other conference travellers, who have stayed here and enjoyed the experience so much that they, in turn, have recommended it to their colleaugues. I hope to return here again on my next trip to Paris! Thanks to Christophe and Jean-Francois and all the staff!
I stayed here for one night in May with my grown-up son, when we had a couple of days holiday in Paris. We enjoyed the hotel, which was clean, well located, and had friendly staff. The breakfast was enjoyable, and set us up for the day.
We hope to be back again before too long.
My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in late April and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Eiffel Tower and on the delightful Rue Cler, where there are some good restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was small but sufficient for our needs. Everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel’s elevator is tiny, so we used the stairs. I recommend this hotel. We stayed here because of the hotel’s listing in Rick Steves’s book.
May 3 was our second stay at Grand Hotel Leveque. We had spent a week in Orleans visiting our daughter, and she accompanied us to Paris to see us off the next day. The triple room was updated and comfortable; we love the view onto Rue Cler! The bathroom had modern fixtures and was very clean. I do wish there was an additional shelf – perhaps above the toilet, to place our toiletries on. We will stay here again.
This was our 3rd time we’ve stayed at Grand Hotel Leveque Paris, we had a great time there, we just loved the ideal location, the ambiance outside; restaurants, shops, lundry, markets, rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff is very professional and courteous, wouldn’t stay anywhere else while in Paris, C’est magnifique!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Leveque. Our room was nicely updated, clean and comfortable. Fabulous location. Staff were very helpful and always courteous. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family and would definitely stay here again.
This was the 4th time I have stayed at the Grand Hotel Leveque in the past 6 years. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Paris! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful and the location on delightful Rue Cler couldn’t be better. It’s an unbeatable value. It has become my “home” in Paris and I look forward to coming back again soon!
The staff were friendly and always helpful. My room was simple but clean and comfortable, and excellent value for money. The Rue Cler is full of life from as early as 7 am, even on a Sunday. The hotel is at the centre of a little community with its own unique identity – quite different from the Paris of the Grands Boulevards. There is a velib station around the corner and a metro station two minutes away. Cafe Roussillon is an excellent place for a drink or a meal, but there is a huge variety of shops, brasseries and epiceries within walking distance. There are also several ATMs in the vicinity. I’m delighted to have had the chance to experience another side to this fantastic city.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location was wonderful, the room was comfortable and convenient, and the hotel staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. I would stay here again without question.
We had a lovely stay at the Grand Leveque. We traveled with our 8-yr old daughter so it was nice to be in a street with schools and shops and also so close to the Eiffel Tower and bus route 69. Very kind and helpful staff. Great value!
We had a fun stay at The Grand Hotel Leveque. The staff was very helpful. The location is great. Close to Metro and bus 69. Loved rue Cler and all the local cafes. Got to rub shoulders with the locals. Enjoyed the fresh produce at the markets. Thanks to Christoph, David, Sophia and others
Our daughter stayed here the year before so we knew it would be our kind of place. The Rue de Cler has markets, restaurants and cobblestone streets. We loved opening our balcony window and watching and listening to the activities on the street below. Anything we needed was close by. The metro/RER are about two blocks and on either end of the street. We could walk to the Eiffel Tower and D”Orsay easily and we are 72. We did take the metro to D”Orsay though as there was a light rain. The hotel staff was friendly and good with directions or recommending a place to eat. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Not large or fancy but we loved our room above the street. The price was great for all that we got; close to everything and the street is charming. We felt like we were experiencing a little of what the everyday life was like. We met so many nice people just walking on the street and in the shops. We would definitely return.
We have just spent 3 nights at Hotel Leveque. Perfectly situated for everything, metro, parking, tourist attractions, restaurants. We are impressed by the efficient service from the moment we first made enquries to the morning of our departure.
Our only criticism would be the drab colours in the stairwell and the dark curtains in the rooms
. Merci Leveque – we enjoyed our stay very much.
We recently stayed for 3 nights and everything was fantastic. The staff was warm and welcoming. Aways a smile and ready to answer any questions. The location was perfect for us, close to the Effiel Tower and to the Metro. Rue Cler is a lovely place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. We had several great meals at the resturants located close to our hotel. Hope to make it back someday. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Grand Hotel Leveque!!!!
Je suis une cliente régulière de l’hotel. J’apprécie le calme de ses chambres et la gentillesse de l’accueuil. Ancienne habitante du quartier, j’y retrouve agréablement mes marqus.
We have just returned from our stay in Paris the hotel Grand Leveue is perfect, nice a clean staff very helpful. The hotel is situated on one of the best streets in Paris close to all the site seeing attractions, and you have everything you need on Rue Cler street.
We stayed at the hotel 27 years ago for our honeymoon and have returened back to the same hotel now 6 times running, this stay was for our 27th year anniversary. Bring’s back lot’s of happy memories we shall return. Regards to all the staff Julie & James
stayed 3 nights. 7 min walk from the Eiffel tower, 3mins from the underground. rue cler which is the street the hotel is on is charming, Staff very professional and friendly and all with a good understanding of english. For the price and location you will not get Much better. Hope to return.
A very good stay from start to finish (easy booking, kind staff, lovely room, honest price, perfect location to visit Paris).
Rue Cler is a sort of little village with every thing at hand, don’t miss it !
Me and my family had a great time at Hotel Leveque.Very kind staff, well placed, amazing things to do around the Hotel, subway far about 3 blocks from the Hotell. Very good! I Recomend
I was there with my three children and my daugther’s friend. We had two rooms. The hotel is very well located, so close from the Eiffel Tower and many other attractions. I will recommend this hotel to family and friends and will visit again. Thanks for a great service.
It was our pleasure to stay in your lovely hotel in one of the most pitoresque streat in the centre of Paris. The staff of the hotel is very polite, everything was 100% ok !
Thank you for our beautiful stay in Paris – it was the right way to know georgius Paris!
Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay and Paris experience. From booking my trip and all the emails I sent your staff and their quick response. The hotel accomadations are perfect and the location is the best parisan experience anyone could have. The restaurant you recommended for our Christmas Eve dinner and making our reservation was wonderful. To all of you at Grand Hotel Leveque Merci!!!!!
We were only in Paris for two days and only had one night to stay in this hotel. Our room was wonderful. From our balcony we could see the Eiffle Tower.
The desk clerk was very helpful. On the second day we wanted to do some sight seeing but hated the idea of draging our bags around again. He offered for us to keep our bags there and said we could come back for them later. Even after we checked out.
Beautiful Hotel, great location !
Just returned from my stay in Paris. The Grand Hotel Leveque front desk staff and maid staff were very helpful and accomidating. Rooms have been updated. Location couldn’t be better. A great value.
This is my second visit to the Grand Hotel Leveque. The service is top notch, the location is fantastic and scene on Rue Cler is unforgettable. I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to Paris.
We njoyed our stay at the Grand Leveque. Helpful staff, nice rooms, A/C and a great location. The rue Cler is so “Paris” and it was great to be in a neighborhood with kids, dogs and markets!
Really enjoyed our stay!
My two adult daughters and I shared a room for 6 nights. Loved the location: the markets and cafes; proximity to Eiffel Tower;Metro/Bus routes; ATM directly across from hotel entrance. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pleasant, helpful staff. Hope to stay here again.
