The Invalides in full light - 3 giant screens stone wall 250 m, 32 film sequences, including 23 previously unpublished ... The courtyard of the Invalides Hotel honor lights for the 4th year with a show we rediscover the history of Paris. At 22 h 30, the crowd of spectators crowded into the courtyard in darkness. Waiting a few minutes, and then the haunting voice of André Dussollier sounds. The walls come to life in the spotlight.
After a brief introduction on the history of the building, the show brings us two thousand years ago. Jean Piat, Céline Duhamel and Jacques Roehrich lend their voices to the colorful scenes. The Roman conquest of Lutetia to the postwar, the emblematic figures in the history of France marched Clovis, St. Louis, Louis XIV, Napoleon, de Gaulle. As many men as universe in computer graphics and archival: Gallic and Roman soldiers fight under the arcades, Our Lady of Paris dresses Invalides, the waves crash on the eve of D-Day. With this edition 2016, English speakers can 2 nights a week, watch the show by hearing the original sound, also created by Bruno Sellier in the language of Shakespeare, served by voice theater and dubbing, especially that of Allan Wenger that doubles for the English film, the voice of Michel Piccoli, Nils Arestrup or Jean-Paul Belmondo. Or that of Sharon Man doubling Marion Cotillard and Diane Kruger.
